South Asian Studies

My book South Asian Theory and Criticism is to be published by Routledge India. The anthology is about South Asian writings on literary and cultural theory and literary criticism. The essays/chapters are selected from the books published by Routledge.  Each selection is followed by interactive exercises.  The essays represent the concepts and methods of literary studies, cultural studies, postcolonialism, feminism, historiography, art, and religion related with South Asia.  Among many others, the chapter I have included are by Homi Bhabha, Dipesh Chakrabarty, Lata Mani, and Firdous Azim.

I am supervising Rethinking South Asian Studies with scholars from Nepal, Bangladesh, and India. Nepal Studies and Bangladesh Studies are interdisciplinary research conceptualized from the points of view of memory and emotion studies.  The research will contribute to Rethinking project.
